So you got the iPhone and want to make it stand out from the rest of the pack. There are cool covers out there to make it slightly more unique, but what’s cooler than a custom paint job?! Check out Colorware’s service. They’ll paint your iphone in any combo of colors (including a matching dock) Pretty cool and if you already justified the $400 price tag on the phone to yourself…..you can easily convince yourself of a $150 paint job for your phone.

Looking around for a knife rack and came across this. Very cool and even though we have exactly 5 sq ft of countertop space…..I still want it. Wish it could hold any knife, instead you have to purchase it with the supplied knives.

Well my wife and I just celebrated our first glorious year of marriage on August 19th. It was a great year filled with lots of memories and changes.
One observation though I’d like to point out with my new found wisdom from having 1 year of marriage under my belt is how clueless being married has made me. Not clueless about everything, just hopelessly clueless about my personal schedule. I honestly have no idea what events are coming up anymore. Are we going out of town? Do we have people visiting? What’s todays date?
I used to have a pretty reliable mental calendar, knowing that “ok in 2 weeks I’m going out of town” or “next Thurs so and so is coming to visit” Now I couldn’t tell you what I’m doing tomorrow let alone next weekend! So as a result I’m constantly “double booking” and making my wife mad. Often getting the “don’t you remember we decided to do xyz next week, so we can’t do abc?! I just talked to you about this!”
I guess my question to the married men of the world is if this is normal? Do you find yourself having had the same lobotomy that I had where the scheduling part of your brain has been lopped out and chucked in the trash? Now to clarify, this is only the part of the brain that deals with your social calendar of events, the work or business calendar part of the brain remains in tact.

I told myself this was it, I’m gonna start this blog and keep it up…well it lasted about a month. It’s just a tough habit to adopt and my usual blogging time(during work hours) has been replaced with….well actual work. damn the man!
I hope to get back into it and maybe change the purpose or direction of the blog, instead of me just rambling…ok starting next post.

Last Monday my wife and I attend a pretty great event at the Rainbow Room in NYC. It was an annual fund raising event for Mary Mount College in the city. Anyway, the MC for the night was Natalie Morales (vavavoom) from the Today Show (was supposed to be Ann Curry, but duty called in Darfur) and the honoree for the night was Geraldine Ferraro. So with all these fancy schmoes there, somehow we got our picture taken and were in this past Sunday’s Style section of the NY Times.

Happy Friday everyone. In the mail last night I got a letter from Mr. Panero himself…..well I think the 13million total subscribers to XM and/or Sirius also got one, but ya know it was the thought that counts. Anyway I attached it below but it basically describes that your service won’t be interupted, that they “plan” to make both sets of programming available via your current radio with no obligation to purchase a new radio. We’ll see if all these promises and claims hold true. Either way it’s pretty exciting and good for the satellite radio world. No more wishing you had Sirius to listen to NFL or wishing you had XM to hear MLB!

Here is a new Food site that just launched and it is what many sites like AllRecipes or CNET’s Chow have tried to do. It has plenty of user generated content from you sending in your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe to full vodcast. Check out Boy Eats World, well done cooking segments. Not just a camera on a tripod with the same static shot, like many vodcasts out there.
One great feature combines what I like to call “the crack of browser toolbars” Stumble Upon, into their site for you to stumble upon a recipe you might not thought of to make. Try it out, pretty cool if you have no idea what to make for dinner. Just click the Explore menu button.
Like many new sites out there it has a great, integrated Google Map so you can post reviews of a favorite restaurant in your area and the map highlights them all.
Check it out and let me know what you think, is this “THE” MySpace for Foodies or just a flash in the pan (no pun intended)
